Wanli Tyres

Anyone bought them?
I just put 2 on the rodeo and am considering another 2. Heading to western Qld in a few weeks to Birdsville.

Has anyone had any issues with punctures?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

As a brand They have been around for a while at the bottom end of the market. When in the trade never sold any, used to have better cheap options such as Nankang.

Google wanli reviews.

None for off road tyres that I can find.

Sound as If  they are a popular tyre for drifting!

Can't comment on this brand of tyre
But I have a 2004 rodeo and 70,000 km ago I fitted some Maxis Bravo 751 on the rodeo's 16 inch rims and have to say for a budget tyre that came in UNDER  $200 per tyre, they  have been brilliant and still have approx 25,000 km before I meet the wear bars..highly recommend them as a general gravel and highway tyre,...may be not aggressive enough as a mud tyre

I had some on my Hilux.

Every day is a wet day with a Wanli tyre. I still have 2 here if you want them. Tyre shop didn't want them either.

31-10.5-15. Free to any home. I wouldn't even fit them on a trailer.

Thanks to everyone for the reply. The two I have on seem to be suitable so far, but I have only driven around town. I had a set of maxxis on the land cruiser which I had no issues with. I remember the Maxxis were a lot cheaper when they first came out and now you pay a heap more for them. I was kind of hoping for the same result with Wanli. The offroading wouldn't be extreme. Time will tell I guess. I am just surprised that there aren't more reviews on the internet.

I guess I will be the guinea pig.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but a fishing mate of mine has Coopers under his Landcruiser.  He towed a Jayco Swan Outback up to the Coleman river on the edge of the gulf.  Coming home, a hundred k's from anywhere he gets a blowout, and a bit further down the road he gets a puncture.  Not a very good day.  Was he just unlucky?  I am getting near a new set of shoes for my Colorado and I think I have scratched Coopers off the list.

My wife had a couple of Wanli tyres on her Subaru road car.  The road tyres are unidirectional so would be a pain if you got a puncture.  But worse of all was the horrendous noise--- I have never heard so much road noise on any tyre.  2 Tyres now sitting in my shed.

Don't waste your hard earned mate. Name brands can be quiet expensive as you know, but you can still get reasonable tyres for a few dollars more without braking the bank. Maxxis for example.

Other people' experience and input can help you choose a product...but what you have written above is like saying "I won't buy a Colorado because I saw a dented one today."

Punctures can't be helped.. and blowouts are usually caused by lack of air pressure due to a slow leak due to puncture. FWIW, I have done 95,000km on my Cooper AT3s. One puncture. That was due to a fence being replaced and the tradies dropping a tek screw on my driveway

over 150k on my last two sets of coopers and not one puncture for me too, tyre maintenance and the correct pressures play a major part in the air staying inside

(Note, the same can be said for any quality well made tyre, coopers are not the ONLY brand)

Ok, so I am back from Birdsville/Innaminka. Wanli all round on the Rodeo and the camper trailer on some most stony rough terrain I have been on, at speed. No issues with the tyres.

Not saying they are the be all and end all, but I thought I would provide a bit of feedback for those interested.

Camper trailer is a different story, copped a thrashing from the gibber rocks.
