McAFee computer security renewal without permisson

Got an Email today from McAFee computer security letting me know that a 12 month subscription had been renewed.....
then shortly after that,  paypal sent and email with a receipt   

How did McAFee get into my paypal account and authorise the password to pay the 12 month subscription?

Any other Myswaggers had this issue?

If you used PayPal last year to pay for McAfee then it was probably lodged in PayPal as a recurring payment for every 12 months. These are listed in your PayPal account where you can remove any unwanted recurring payments.

Yep, somewhere in the fine print you OK'd it, straight out shonky business practice when they hide it like that. I think you can cancel it.

I always double check stuff like that when paying with PayPal to ensure I don't get hit with the automatic renewal thing

Paypal Subscriptions, just contact paypal and tell them you would like a refund if you dont want to use it anymore.

Most of the time you can get a refund on your payment.
