Bad luck or Act of God

I had our CT tent and annex (roof only)set up in the back yard for a couple of mods.  I had tent poles and guy ropes on loosely as it was only a temporary setup.
Next thimg a massive windstorm (willy willy) comes thru the yard and causes hell for about 30 seconds.

Damage is 5 tent poles off the annexe with either broken ends or bent.  Lesson learnt is next time I set it up it will be setup properly.
Oh well, give the tent pole store a call tomorrow.

Good thing it's just tent poles and not ripped/torn canvas that could have been costly.
Tentpolestore is bloody good,great prices and there poles are very decent

As said above unlucky but bloody lucky. We had a ripper storm come through Somerset Dam one year. After it was finished there were poles through tents alround the campsite.
