We are in the process of changing the camper for an Outback Expanda, single axle with Independent suspension.  In June/July we are planning a trip to the tip.  Just wondering how far is it safe to take the Expanda?  I understand that we cannot take it up the OTT, but how far on the Developmental road and where can we leave it when we are camping out?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 Cracka

Ps.  I still think it's a camper cos I'm sleeping under canvas ;D

You could take it all the way up the PDR no problems. As you have already said, OTL would be up for damage. PDR you would be fine....I have seen heaps of vans at Seisia......:-)

As above or take it upto bramwell junction/station and leave it there while you travel the OTL
This the start point for OTL also

Thanks Stone Stomper, was actually watching this on youtube last night.  I will contact you before I go to order a guard from you.

I was up there this year and saw heaps of vans... The main thing to remember is just to keep your speed down and lower tyre pressures...

Cracka. I am heading up there in 2014 with the Jayco OB. Thanks for giving it a test run this year for me.

Do you think Christian would do a deal on the stomper if we ordered together?  :D
