Hi Swaggers,

We are about to order a drop down fridge slide from MSA. We have a 40 litre Engel in a transit bag.

Will it fit with the bag in the DS40 drop down fridge slide or do we need the DS50? Their website says that fridge bags may obstruct full use of the slide.

What have others found to work?

Thanks

Chris-Vi

We have a 32 litre Engel with bag on our DS40. There is no width left but still room for length if that makes sense. MSA should be able to tell you anyway or check out a couple of 4x4 shops. The price is the same and you might be able to get a deal.

My mate has 2 of the 40's and he can't use his bags on them I believe.

I have a 40 and a 60. My 38ltr Engle on the 40 will sometimes catch the bag. When you put it together, put the nuts on the outside of the frame.
If you want to try one out just give me a yell.

my 40l engel (with bag) fits fine on the smaller MSA slide.

We have a DS40, carrying a Waeco CF60 in a bag. The bag would foul the slide operation if one didn't use caution and a little poke or prod in the right place at the right time.  All in all, we're very happy with it and don't find the poking and prodding an issue.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. Our local MSA distributor says our Engel will fit, with transit bag, but we are going to test it out in the shop.

Good to hear that most of you have no troubles with it.

Cheers
