Mate!!!!!!!!!!  You don't know what you're missing out on.

They're fan-bloody-tastic.
Pop one in each corner and they hold your map down on the bonnet really well in the wind.!!!!!!!!!

Apart from this week, it's 14 years since we camped.........

G60 Nissan Patrol, the old 3 speed jobbie with no synchro on low gear and you get out to click the hubs in.
5 man tent used for 2 people.
Sleeping bags.
Solar shower.
Gas 2 burner cooker.
2 gas lights
Esky with plenty of ice.
Toilets were a shovel, paper and a good sense of balance.

Now,
2004 Jeep, V6 Auto, air, power steering, power windows etc, etc,
2005 Camper Trailer.
Queen size bed.
50 litre fridge
Esky for beer. (yes, the same esky from 14 years ago)
Gas hot water shower.
Porta potti
Their own duel shower tent.
TV with DVD player. ( we took the Monty Python series and THE CUP to watch)
3 separate 12 volt lights.
Battery power from trailer.
Eu 20i Honda generator.

Oh dear, where do i stop.......  :D

Nah, it all seems the same to me.

I DON'T CARE HOW NICE THE HAND SOAP SMELLS.....

You should never walk out of the public toilets sniffing your fingers.

Camping has changed, but so has the rest of our lives. We talk about taking more camping, but then we have so much more at home than before too.
I enjoy camping as much now as I did as a kid, if not as often.

I find I work so hard and so many hours I don't have time to camp old school style

If I had to pack the gear from my shed into my truck..... I just wouldn't go

A ct gives me the excuse to have it all there, hook up, leave, everything is there

We have all the mod cons because we go camping to see people, places and spend time with my boys, not to prove how rough I can camp. I like a nice bed. I love a fridge with cold dry food in it. I love knowing that I have everything I need.

It depends on what I am doing, this weekend we are doing a boys tinny trip up the Murray, so it's a swag an esky, flat plate and a camp oven. Anything more than that and you don't fit 2 guys into the boat. ;D

We bought ourselves a jayco swan after having tents and then a soft top offroad camper, we were looking for the comfort level 8), after 2 years we have just sold it, I found that I was not pulling it out to use it, we didn't cook in it cause we enjoy cooking over the fire, so in the end we only slept in it. So we sold it 4 weeks ago, we decided to wait and save up for a tvan, but,  ??? , I showed the boss a picture of the cub supamatic, the rest is history, looking forward to it turning up in early oct. still going camping on the long weekend, back to the tents and swag
