Hi everyone,
I'm new to the life of camper trailers.
Well I woul be if my camper trailer I ordered and payed for was ready for pick up.
I may be sounding a little unfair as  I ordered it 4 weeks ago. Payed in full two weeks ago(ish) and was supposed to pick it up on Friday just gone. So far I've had issues with delivery of the axel from Brisbane and as of today it was due to U bolts being in transit.
I don't mean to be synical, but is this normal for ones purchase of a new camper?
In sounding like I'm whining , I really can't wait to start the camping adventures with my wife :)
Cheers
Paul
(sorry but no pic yet)

4 weeks is not too bad....our wait was 5 months and that's not the longest I've heard of. I just spent the time researching things and filling my garage with bolt on bits and mods. Hang in there :) . Cheers

Edit:  what type of camper did u order?

Mmmm indeed. Hopefully it's just the cynic.

As Josh asked...which camper, who through? But yes, it's not unusal to wait much longer than 4 wks.

Welcome to MySwag Paul, that waiting time is short, I had a 5 month wait for the Omeo. Hopefully all will come together and you will receive it soon. What sort of tow buggy do you have, while waiting just stalk the pages of the forum and start getting ideas about some mod's

G'day Paul,

To MySwag.
I hope it all comes together for you and you'll be out there using it soon enough, sitting back having a cold one and thinking 'what was I worrying about?'  ;D
Plenty of great info here to help you with where to take the camper and how to mod it  ;D
Happy & Safe travels.

You don't use magic to disappear, all you need is a 4wd & a Swag ;)

Hi Paul and welcome to My Swag

Hope the new CT is ready soon, but you are a braver man than I for paying in full before pick up day :o

G'day & Welcome.

Waiting is tough, what camper do you buy? Can you "call around" in your excitement, just to see it sitting there?

We waited 8 weeks.  Hang in there.  All good things come to those who wait (I think).

Hi Paul and welcome to My Swag

4 week is pretty good, we waited 12 weeks for ours, but we only paid a deposit at time of order and the balance at pick up.

It will be worth the wait

welcome Paul,

ours took 17 weeks for a ground up build and several times we asked ourselves what is the hold up? but all came good and we have just had the trailers 1st birthday

must admit it sounds sus that a trailer builder would have to wait for axles and then again for u-bolts (we use HD u bolts at work maybe every 4 months or so but still have heaps here for when the time comes).

maybe its just his way of stalling while he finishes off earlier projects?

Thanks everyone for your replies, much appreciated.
Am tempted to "Stalk" the shop but am forcing myself not too.
Ive bought the off road "T-Box V2" from Market direct campers in canningvale
i have been keeping busy with all the ideas of 12 volt power etc as suggested :) and am driving my wife crazy lol
am sure the wait will be worth it and will supply pics when i get it :)
cheers

Some people wait 12-18 MONTHS for some of the offroad vans...

2 weeks, I think you should drop your pants and run around with joy... thats extremely quick....
