Just a tip with Jayco tables. Although they can stay up while travelling, any rough stuff will knock the wall clip supports around and eventually the screws give up. Sit it down on the seat supports for travel and don't forget to lower the leg bottom onto the floor or the cantilever weight of the leg on the underneath table mount will do likewise. You then have space on top and below the table for soft stuff storage bearing in mind any hard stuff will chafe the furniture and vinyl flooring.
There's no Great Evil conspiracy against consumers within engineering, manufacturing and supply. Just the many tradeoffs incurred to satisfy diverse tastes, priorities and wallets. But first comes all the insatiable Gummint eggsperts, nanny-staters and usual suspects.
