Ahh the MP's...I remember they had a big female SGT MP at Pucka who became a WO1, her name came to me it was Liz maddern   >:D   . Remember her chasing a few of the C Sqn 1AR blokes around in their V8's. One night after a gut full they ended up going through the AST fence (the side along Morobe Rd)and Liz collared them. I reckon they were lucky they never got wiped out ..for some reason they got a light penalty too I cant recall how many days CB...

There is no problem that cannot be solved by the use of high explosives.

I got it made up from a website I found.
Military template technology is the name of the company. All the stickers I found only had one campaigns worth of ribbons. I wasn't happy with that and wanted my ribbons as I wear them.
This company does each order custom to the buyer, the sticker cost about $30 including postage.

OK after reading all those posts & seeing joining dates, I feel like i was on the Endeavour it was so long ago.
Joined RAN 1962   after doing time on survey ships i.e: Barcoo, Gascoyne & then a couple of shore drafts doing courses, did time on HMAS Sydney while refitting as troop carrier...... joined Hobart on her delivery to Aust.  in 1966.
Did 3 tours Vietnam on Hobart before drafting to Nirimba to pay off in  1971.
Still attend ship's reunion regularly & agree that mateships formed in the military are a special bond.

The good lady wife and I met each other in the Army, both signallers at the time in 4 Sig Regiment in 1983. This was the only unit in the army with co-ed barracks, but I'll finish that story in my memoirs.

I finished my service in '85 at 1 Sig Regiment. The missus finished up in '90 at 122 Signal Sqn at Keswick, and still thinks she outranks me.

Served while there were still a good many 'Nam vets in the service. They were guys I looked up to and admired.

Proud to have served, prouder still of the job the service men and women are doing today under extremely difficult circumstances.

Hi Guys
You all have my full respect and appreciation.
I have never served in the military, though I have two son in laws, and one daughter, currently serving in the ADF and I am extremely proud of them for what they do.  I have no idea where they are serving, as when they come home on leave they have no desire to talk about things, so we simply enjoy being a family.
I know that I probably should not have posted here, but I am proud of my daughter and sons in law.
Regards
