Hi all .
Does any one know of a brand of  3 burner portable cooker that you can actualy fit a 30 cm + frying pan and two reasonable size sauspans on at the same time ???? that would have the burners under the center of each thing to be heated .
Beginning to think I might have to make my own cooker .

Hi,

What I tend to use is a two (2) burner stove and I also carry one of the $20 portable single burner stoves to use if I need it. Most of the time I use a camp oven so mostly I only need a one or two burner stoves.

Works for me but not sure if this helps in your circumstances though.

Most are made for 2cm pans..

I went thru same problem as you tryin to get one to fit the trailer kitchen..

My suggestion is a 2 burner, and a single burner might be your only option..

We have a great 3 burner from Big W, but it may not be big enough to get 2 saucepans on as well.

Thanks all,
Just trying to cut down on a bit of gear is all, currently using two, two burners and two 4 kg bottles and associated stands ... Figured one good 3 burner and stand, with a  bbq plate to go on if needed + one gas bottle is all that I need .
Might be time to bend up some zinc aneal and crack out the welder ..

I have one :-)  Well as close as you can get, I think.  It's a coleman guide series one (5428 I think) - they don't make them anymore.
It's the same size as the large 3-burner dual-fuel cookers that you can get (although haven't seen them around much lately - perhaps they don't make them either).
We love ours and hope it lasts a long time.  It'll fit a good size fry-pan and 2 full-sized billies or medium sized saucepans.
It's not small though - so 2 of the smaller 2-burner stoves might take up a similar total packing space.

Hi edz,

To get the space/separation you need, easiest way might be to get 3 of these:

They're not very expensive. If you want to run all 3 at the one time, you'll need to get a gas hose with a few t-pieces in it. That shouldn't be too much of a problem either. Best thing is if you only need one burner for a quick stop, then only get one out of the box. Not as fancy as a fully-integrated stove, but as the other have said, they're not without their issues either.

Good luck!

Hi Matto,
We've been looking getting one of those, we find the two burning in the Swan isn't big enough to use a pan + a sauce pan, the two burner coleman isn't big enough as well, even for a big fry pan.
Might grab one of the ring burners.
