Thanks for all the information on this forum, it has kept me busy and entertained for the last eight or so months during my search for our camper trailer, and will for years to come I am sure. I hope to share information about our future camper trailer adventures too.  I started out with a budget of about $10,000 but caught the bug and that quickly blew out. My wife and I are now happy to commit most of our holidays for the next five to ten years to the camper trailer and we can't wait.

Here are some of our camper trailer experiences so far.

This was a Modcon camper we hired from Rentarig in Brisbane who gave a great service but have sadly closed down their business. We took it to Fraser Island and it was our first camper trailer experience. My wife and I loved it and decided to get ourselves a camper.

After a lot of looking around and steadily increasing our budget to get our perfect camper trailer we started hiring Kimberly Kampers from Andrew at Go Bush Camping. We started with the 2007 model and then the 2010.

After that there were no questions about what we wanted, a new 2012 Kimberly Kamper. It has been ordered and will be ready for delivery to Melbourne on the 20th of April. All we have to do now is plan our next holiday!

Congrats on the new purchase  :cup:

We hired a few campers before deciding to build our own, but I really wanted to hire a Kimberley Karavan but SWMBO wouldn't be in it because like yourself we knew if we hired one we'd want to buy one......

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Greg, you're not far from me, I'm in Altona. Good luck with the new Swan Outback when you get it, I know what you're going through!

Louise, The camp site is the first one travelling north in the Winnam Camping Zone. We looked for quite a while and liked this one best, but there are plenty of other good ones if you look around. If you are interested I could post more pics and info about our trip. If you haven't been to Fraser Island yet you will love it.

This is the view we had while eating breakfast. Yes I'm an early riser.

After a hard days adventuring we would sit on the edge of the beach with a drink and watch the wales through our binoculars.

Welcome Chris

Great Idea hiring various campers until you found what suited you.

Too right KK's are GLAMPER Status.

I wouldn't be surprise if you see one towed by an Aston Martin in the next up and coming James Bond Movie.
