To the guys at vehicle components,

Thanks for putting up the competition for a chance to win a DO35 hitch........and letting me win it.....the hitch is now taking pride of place at the front of the camper and it looks nice and shiny too.

Here are some pics of the new hitch

Cheers and Thank you again.

I sincerely apologise that this has taken so long to be put on here but our old computer hard drive died and we only just got our new computer back with all our info downloaded onto it.

Very nice! Congratulations Greg! And well done VC!
Now all I need to do is find a new mech override hitch for mine ...

Hi Greg, how are you mate? You will be very happy with your new hitch, we have one on the Jimboomba and it is so much easier than the old Treg.
And congrats on winning it to, could not have gone to a nicer fellow  ;D

Chippy,

Sorry chippy the old hitch is an AT35 and is for electric brakes. But I am in a quandry as to what to do with the old AT35 hitch, it has a little bit of wear as one would expect of 7 years of use but it is in good nick for it's age and needs a clean and a little adjustment or replacement of the bushes in the main housing and I am not too sure if I should stick it on the box trailer (bit of overkill I reckon ;D) or just sell it.

Cheers

Bruce,

Mate how are you and Annie. All is well up here in scarybuggar. Thanks for the congrats, yeah I hope we will like this hitch as I was pretty fond of the old AT35. We never had any issues with it and it was a breeze to get hooked up to the patrol (or the terracan). I learnt long ago to get Ness to reverse the vehicle and I would line up and hook up the camper, this saved a lot of arguments and most of the time she would actually get the vehicle within a 1/2 an inch to an inch which made it easier for me to connect up, even on Fraser Is.
So how is the Jimboomba going. Will have to catch up, have you still got our number?

Cheers

How much do you want for the old hitch Greg .... might be a good excuse to upgrade to leccy brakes .... :D
Gotta sneak these things through.

Hi Greg

Really pleased you are happy with the coupling.

For anybody who doesn't know Greg won the coupling by coming up with the best idea for our outback checklist which is downloadable for free from the VC website

Onya Greg! I have a D035 as well and love it - purchased and picked up direct from VC, when you see their factory you know you've made the right choice.

Well done Greg. I also changed to the DO35 last year. Great help from the factory. Also have the old AT35 sitting in my shed. Has some wear as well but just cannot throw it away yet.
