I'm about to drive from Melbourne to Bowen up the Kidman Way.  Any suggestions for places to fill up or avoid so I can keep the fuel bills down a bit?

Just came back from Charleville and found the prices much the same give or take a couple of cents. Average at the moment is about 1.55 or so. Cunnamilla ok, Cobar ok, Charleville and further south, Griffith all about the same.

Enjoy the trip but watch out for the feral goats and have fun dodging the road kill.
