Just on the classified section. What about having a minimum number of post, say 10 before you can place an ad.. Seems a lot of people are just using the forum as the trading post and not contributing....

Get them to send me a PM with their sale item, if I dont want it then they can post it up

My issue with Joining and posting your first thing as FORSALE is nobody knows them. Is the sale legit??... I have no issue with people joining to sell stuff, specially if I pickup a bargain

I wont buy off people who arent regular posters/contributers/someone else knows them, or I can get someone I know to go do the buyign for me as you dont know if the sale is legi

Some forums make it you have your first 20 posts moderated before you can post up or sell stuff.


It works but the moderators dont need more crap on their plate.

Some folks just want to get out of their campers. They're not interested in posting, because otherwise they'd be keeping it.

I don't think it's a significant issue myself. Don't look at total number of members, look at activity. For every 1000 new members we get maybe 40 or so who participate.

Agree, what do you have to lose? You may even pick up a bargain!  It's not overly exploited in my view so let it go.
