After struggling for a year and a half with my hitchdrive to push the camper around the back on the lawn, I've finally decided that its just not working well enough on the thick grass.

I just pushed it round the back, hurt my back and cut a chunk out my finger on the handle!!! :-[ :-[ :-[

I realise they are expensive, but I have wanted a "camper trolley" for some time now, I just haven't had the money.

http://www.campertrolley.com.au/

I still don't have the money, but I might just have to make sacrifices elsewhere so I can get one.
Kids don't have to eat "every" day do they? Anybody want to buy a wife bike?

They are really expensive, so before I go and extend myself I want to find out if anyone has one or has any feedback on them?

Good bad and indifferent.

Obviously the salesmen swear they're great, but of course they would. He gave a demo in the yard, but it was roadbase.

Andy         before you think about replying or telling my wife...................................I know where you live!!!! >:D >:D >:D

I would love one of these.  Been sitting here watching people reversing and thinking to myself how amusing it would be to pull up in the middle of the road, unhitch and just reverse it in...lol

Looks good but 5 degrees incline won't suit a lot of situations.

An alternative is a ride on mower. I push my trailers around with a Husky. Works well and I can cut the grass too  ;D

Danbri, If you had another brand you "could cut the neighbours lawn" also.

Seriously, what hp is your mower & what/how do you hitch it up? Do you leave the jockey wheel down?

Thanks

Have a drink of cement & harden up , put your back kinto it & get on with it  >:D
You can go your own way . Treg Up & Make Dust

Speewa,

At my stage in life my only hardening up is using stronger liquor..................
(A kind my swagger who donated me a bottle of makers mark for installing his solar panels helped with this tonight.)

There really is nothing you can't fix with info from this site!!! ;D :cup:

I love my glamper trailer, air conditioned house, and electric gadgets. My car and camper is not unlike an OTC station.......

My species didn't spent the last couple of hundred thousand years climbing the food chain so I could harden up.........

You be as hard as you like, I'll be comfortable........ >:D >:D >:D

(took your comments in the humour intended by the way......... :D)

Dan, cutting your neighbours lawn may result in huge alimony payments!!!!

I'd love to use a mower, but my honda doesn't fit in the camper or back of the car...........
(to move my camper not cut my neighbours lawn.............)

Cheers

21hp. I made a towbar setup for it, but since moving I am damned if I can find it. I used to use a dead tow setup with a bar and shackles but it's tricky to reverse. Recently I have been using a strap as the property we live on now is perfectly flat. The strap is not perfect and I'll make another tow bar for it sooner or later. Jocky wheel down on the camper as the ball weight is 150kg, but the boat, trailers etc are all good to hook up as norm.

I have seen some people trying to reverse. I don't think 30 mins battery life will be enough.

Ha ha......all funny replies, but has anyone actually seen one working or used one or have one.

A lot of biccies to fork out untried.
Could be very  :-[.

I'm actually O.K. at reversing - years of practice, but to get into my back yard, I have to drive with my 33" muddies over my well groomed lawn. I'm not going to do that..... ??? ??? ???
Yeah, I know, but I love my lawn. :-[
Also, while I'm O.K. at reversing, I only have 60mm each side as it goes through the gate posts. and I can't turn while going through!!!! Not a lot of room for error.

I also think it will be handy for moving into the corners of those hard to park spots, and tucking in under a tree etc etc.
(O.K. O.K. - I'm justifying the expense, but it would be handy! >:D)

Thanks
