Crowdy Head Gathering 24-25 Oct 2009

Went and checked out the camp grounds today. No sign of fire anywhere near them.  They must of just been closed just as a precaution.

Got a decent trailer load of firewood today in preparation for the big event. There is plenty of wood to be gotten near by so no problems there anyway.

Looking forward to meeting all of you guys over a beer or two.

So far we've got 33 adults and 26 kids confirmed so this is going to be a huge event  !

Laith, there will be a bunch of us there on Friday, so if you've got the wood, we'd be happy to pick it up, etc.

Im having the Friday off so Im happy to bring it over and unload when you guys get there. Ill take my trailer home and bring the camper back.

Either way we can work something out anyway. Ill pm you my number.

Reguarding firewood, do you think it's necessary for us to bring wood as well, or is there enough about to collect some there & save carrying it down? Either way is no prob. :cheers:Bevan

G'day Bevan.  Dont bother bringing any wood mate. Ive definently got enough to get us going and if need be there is tons of wood within a 15min drive. I'll have my saw and the back of my truck if we need more.

Just thought I ought to throw the "Pikey Parnwell" hat in to the ring and confirm we are going up to Crowdy Head. We are hoping to get there on Thursday evening, preferably with the trailer still attached!!!

Am also trying to convince some new prospective "swaggers" to come along and enjoy the great outdoors, and hopefully the weather will be less "English" than we have just had
