Thanks Laith. I've got some friends who might be buying a camper on the weekend and i'm sure they'd love a trip ASAP in it.

Looks like we are back in but still not 100% sure, broke my hand yesterday so will have to work around doctors visits and possible surgery. Still got my drinking hand and can supervise set up and pack up.  ;D

Bad luck on the hand, but the most important hand is still good !! ;D

Will be plenty of helpers to put your tent up and down Dorey, so no worries there !!

Ok it's official we are definite starters.  We will be heading up Thursday should arrive around lunch time.  There will be Mrs NK, Miss NK (12yrs) and me.  We are leaving the evil  >:D teenager at home, claims she needs to study for the school certificate....I will go with that because it means a lot less complaining.

I have lost track at which camping ground we are staying at.  Is it Kylies?

Gunna Do

Kylies it is NK.  ;D  Glad you could make it.  ;D

darren

I May be there about 8pm on thursday night now. Who else will be there by then??

We should be in about Midday Thursday if there isn't a holdup. Barnray

We all have Thursday off, giving the year 7 student a couple of days off school, so we should be there Thursday lunch time.

With so many kids, and Big Kids at the meet, what sport/games/entertainment gear is being brought along to keep them all entertained. ie Beach cricket, volley ball, treasure hunts, stuff like that. Are there any 'youth' trained swaggers with great ideas going?

Gday young Snow,
The trouble & strife just happens to be a Girl Guide leader, I'm sure between now & trip time she could come up with some ideas ( especially for younger ones). Of course, some help  ;D would be great. Glad to help out if possible  Bevan. Oh and Judy  ;D

I've got a good game for the kids....it's called the Houdini game....keeps them amused for hrs....suits all ages (even adults )...

Tie them up with hemp rope to the nearest tree and see how long it takes for them to get themselves free......now you may hear them start complaining after a short time, but with a bit of practise, you can learn to ignore it !!!!    :P :P :P

With the ammount of kids coming it would look like a greenpiece protest.

Gunna Do

Our kids pretty much disappear into the wilderness when camping, but we can bring the beach cricket wickets, bats and ball if required.  We normally end up with a soccer or footy ball stashed in the camper somewhere also.

Although with the numbers turning up at this meet, I think the beach will be the only available open area for any sports activity, besides tiddly winks.

BigJules

Similarly, I have a cricket bat and footy in the camper, but was also thinking about how we would entertain all the kids.

I'd suggest egg hunt for an afternoon/evening, happy to provide the chocolate eggs.

Also, I know my daughter loves to entertain and on most trips she and other kids put together a "show". We could suggest this to the kids and let them work it out.

Unlike at Newnes, at least there is no soccer ball swallowing wombat holes to ruin a good game of soccer. >:(
