Hi guys . Just wondering how much digital radio there is in the country.   Cheers

Not much and none up here on the border.
Already done, installed and working..

VZ berlina, pioneer 3600DAB... dvd touch screen with bluetooth music and phone.. Love the unit, might have to get one for the cruiser.

They are a good unit, you can also get the adapter cable to allow either app radio with iphines or mirror link with selected android phones.
In the vz, the main reason for the adapter cable iss to enable steering wheel control functions.
Plus then you will need the patch lead.
The prior unit (avhx3500dab) didn't have the iso plugs on it, so big step forward.
Sing out if you ever need a hand with anything like this again mate, its all stuff I deal with at work.
Did you get the unit from auto barn on sale for $549?

Same one I put into The 80. It is a great unit
Swannie
Glad to hear you got a stereo mate, good choice by the way!  ;D

Mirrorlink Arghhhh!!!! Bought one of the sonys with mirrorlink. Only links with galaxy 2 and note 2. Sony don't appear to interested in supporting it anymore.  Damn shame.

Yeah I did say selected android phones. Have you tried to download an app to assist with it?

Cheers evo. U have to use the drivelink app. I hook up my note 3 and fire up drivelink and it immediately comes up with an error. Last firmware update from Sony was a year ago. Can't fault the unit though other than that.

So I have plugged in the USB plug at the back and have it running tot he passengers feet area, but tucked up out of the way.

Or are you talking about another plug and lead that I need?

I put the digital aerial on today and boy thats hard, mainly cos I might have misread the instructions and pt the windscreen aerial on in the wrong spot then had to move it, so it doesn't look as good.

with pulling the dash off, and centre console   and then door panels, the screws have multiplied. they must have breed while they were off.

I would like to be ready before a firmware update is out and know how to install them.

this new unit is in the wifes car.

I still have a cassette player in mine.

One of the reasons for changing the head unit in her car was cos the 6 stacker stopped working, it had been playing up for ages and finally stopped working.
I pulled it out, got the 15 year old to pull it apart to get the CDs out, she then threw it in the bin, today I saw it there and noticed on the back was the Fuse, I thought I will have that thanks.. But before I put it away I thought I would test it and sure enough it was blown. Could have saved about $600..

Ohh it was around $650 but then they gave us 30% off at JB hifi..
We also bought 2 sets of 6 inch JL Audio speakers to up grade the paper standard speakers.

With ongoing saga on getting the safety certificate for my car on worn pedal pads and none available to fit, I tried making a retread for my worn one by super gluing some tread grip on to the old one.  Total cost about $5 ,

fixed the fridge slide on the camper trailer this afternoon.....i thought a bearing had gone in one of the sldies as it grinds as you pull it out and push it back into position, but upon removing the fridge from the slide i quickly realised it was something else. you could see where the fridge had been grinding a big gouge into the floor pan section of the bottom of the fridge slide, so i then notuiced some of the riverts in the side of the slider were missing. obviously all the corrugations the camper has encountered on a few of it's trips have caught up with it......a quick trip to weekend warrior world to get the right sized riverts, and now it slides in and out just like a new one again  8) 8)

AFTER REMOVING THE FRIDGE IT WAS OBVIOUS WHERE THE GRINDING FEELING WAS COMING FROM (that's all filings of aluminium you can also see)

THE REAR LEFT CORNER WAS DRAGGING AS 3 RIVERTS WERE MISSING (i added a few extras in also as a just incase)

The smell of bacon proves aromatherapy isn't total bull$/!t

About 6 weeks ago I removed all the bolt on bits from the front of the camper and had it sand blasted then I repainted it. Well today I re-installed the hitch, hand brake, spare wheel, tool box, and re-did the electrics that are housed in the tool box along with the battery.
I thought I would charge the battery but discovered the charger is faulty. No worries I will get the solar panel out, bugger the controller is stuffed :'(
