This was my 2011 specialised demo8. I sold it  on Tuesday (sad day)

Serious looking bit of gear.  ;) Why'd you sell it?  ???

So long as you have tried your best, you should have no regrets.

I stop racing in September 2014 and the bike hadn't been ridden since. I thought sell it now while it is still worth something. I am building a camper trailer over in the build thread so I will use the money on that.

I never sold any of my racing gear, when I stopped in 83. I had everyone harping at me to sell the gear but I said nup, one day I will return to racing and I will need the gear to get me going.  ;D

Well, 33yrs later, I have started racing again, with the intent of getting back into the top 10 in QLD in the Masters category. ;)

Nah not now! I got a Fuji 2.0 frame, just the entry level one and have just got some Dura-Ace wheels with Sapim C-Xray blade spokes, lace up to some 50mm Lightbicycle CF rims. Singles not high pressure rims and they are light years apart from the old gear and so is the frame.  8)

I'm coming back to Track Racing, the purest form of racing = no brakes and one fixed gear.  ;D

The goal is to get the State Title that eluded me and go to the Nationals, due to being hit by a truck, in 1980. >:(

Another twelve months of hard work (I can only ride two days a week, due to being away in a truck.  :'( ) I will get there but not quickly.  Two years time, I will have the serious go at it.  ;D

I can still give my son a hiding on the bike and he is 19.  ;D You will love the days when you can go out on the road for a ride with ya son. It doesn't happen much now, due to him working in the food industry but I still give him stick about the fact, that I'm 36yrs older than him and can still hand him his arse on a platter in a sprint!  >:D

Yeah I just don't get that, D4D. I like to win on my own merits, cheats and druggos just piss me off no end! >:D

Ditto, except I'm never going to win. No point trying to improve your own times with a battery pack.

You need to get strava haha. I ride because I love it and feel sorry for people who do such things - they've missed the point of life.  Nothing further your honour. On a very happy note, I've ridden both days this weekend on my new cheap saddle. I can now highly recommend a charge spoon for bigger guys! Obviously one of the more subjective topics going around, but I think I got a bargain with a $50 saddle that doesn't kill me. Ride on gents.

funnily enough i have been for a ride both days this weekend myself. Have been riding with both my daughters, pretty impressed with the youngest (9 yr old) who punched out 7.9klms on Saturday and another 9.7 klms this arvo...all on her tiny little bike with it's small wheels and no gears  8) Took this pic today outside a mates work to send to him, he's been posting up about his 10klm ride he did this morning on Facebook, so i thought i'd mention how far my daughter went on her little bike...lol. His work is roughly about 5 klms from our home, so about halfway of todays ride. The massive head wind on the run home was a struggle for her little legs though.

   Tell ya mate he's a sissy. 👬
I can do 10km on a kids bike but it requires atleast 4hours of pub stops inbetween.🍻🍻and some more🍻🍻

i sent him the pic asking if he needed a riding partner, then said try and keep up with her will ya...lol. To be fair, I believe he was off-road mountain biking that 10klms and not street riding, but I sent the message anyhow...lol

Nice one. I got my ferrets out a few times on their bikes over Christmas. The bikes come on most of our holidays - still getting flats from the cat head burr snapped off in the tyres from the warrumbungles haha.

I shouldn't ask, but I suppose you're happy with the far sports wheels? Nice stiff frame on the foils. My body says aero frames aren't for me anymore though.

Foo

Don't have an issue with the wheels.  :)

I can't believe how much quicker it takes off when you kick!  :o

In TT mode, ready for tomorrows Bribie Tri. Plenty of hurtin will be had, during the bike leg. I do it with a couple of school kids and it's a great way to get them into sport.
