What's the go when they say "tubeless ready " do I still need rim tape ? Or just the gunk and valves ?

If both your rims and tyres are tubeless ready then all you need is sealant and valves. You'll also need a valve removal tool too.

I don't have one however a mate uses the Garmin Sapphire. He likes it as he does multisport and uses it all the time. He has had some weirdness with the GPS especially when he was swimming in the ocean. When we go on bike rides it is reasonably accurate compared to my Garmin 530.

Have run the 5X for the past couple of years and its a great watch, work in construction and have not scratchd the glass one bit, fantastic watch.

Want to upgrade to the 6 but this one will not die.

I have the Forerunner 235 and it is a great watch. I run, a lot, and ride fairly regularly and it has been a great watch with good information. I want to dip my toe in the water pardon the pun and experience triathlon but just the sprint distances for starters and would like a multifunction watch like 945 or any multi sport Garmin. Storage of music would be nice but at the moment I have to use my phone for music and only carry it on 10km or greater runs where I am wearing a hydration vest.

Nice orientation of the valve stems and positioning of the mounted tyre on the rim with regards to uniformity. Points deducted for the leaf on the ground.

What's people using for tool kits on mtb's ?

I just want to have a simple setup so can just go without too much mucking around. Used to have a saddle tool kit but now with a dropper .

Also chain breakers if you have a quick chain link what's the requirement for carrying  a breaker ?

I have one of those bottle shape toolkit things that goes in my second bottle cage, and a frame mounted pump. I keep it really simple
Multi tool
Tyre Levers
Spare tube

Im either commuting on on the flow tracks at Dungog these days so anything more complex is either a call to the missis or a walk back to the car park

I am seriously considering my first e bike. it will be used for commuting to work with a few gravel offroad sections and taking on the flow trails at the local mountain bike park. The main reason is so i can ride around the lake and over the escarpment rather than take on the main road.

Would appreciate any input on the model and ebikes in general as i have never owned one

I think it would be fine for commuting and gravel, albeit not the best riding position. It would run out of travel at an MTB park pretty quick as it only has 100mm and no dropper and the tyres would run out of grip too. I'm waiting for the price point and weight to come down a bit before I buy one.

I carry a multi tool with a chain breaker attached to it. Never needed though. I also carry a spare tube if the tubeless fails.

And a basic 1st aid kit, all in my back pack bladder

I ride an Enduro mtb so good to have a few  it's and pieces to stay mobile if needed.

Took my SS Avanti Track frame for a roll this afternoon. Hadn't ridden it for about 6-7mths and forgot how well it corners and changes direction.
