A good saving in price but that rear triangle is doing my head in, mainly due to the description of two areas of flex for comfort. That sets my tingle sensors off and being a weak point, plus you don'y need a soggy bike for a Crit.  ??? Get comfy on the seat but normally a frame that is said to be comfy, is not good at responding to kicks out of the seat, well that's my experience.  ;)

I'm going to Derby in March with a mate, fingers crossed with COVID. I thought I'd drag the MTB out today and take it for a blast on the local trails. All the road riding I have been doing has made me soft, my bike handling was atrocious. Need to get some more time on the MTB before the trip.

MTB, real riding  ;D, enjoy the trails

We've had to reschedule twice already...

Nice, we'll be in Bright over Easter, taking the roadie though as I plan on climbing Mt Buffalo.

I haven't ridden it yet. Sounds like we should organise a MySwag Cascades ride day...

New wheels day. Fitting tubeless tyres on 700c rims is a little harder than MTB rims, didn't bust a tyre lever so not that hard. The freewheel sounds like a swarm of angry bees :)

Well it's nothing special, but got myself a pushy. Decided on second hand for resale value etc. Picked up this Fuji with ultegra running gear for a good price. Now to start trying to get fit again like I used to be on the bike.

Nice, enjoy the ride. Hill repeats are a great quick way to build strength and fitness.

Thats my problem, where I live is lots of hills. Nothing massive, but first ride was 80m of elevation. I know it's not huge, but for the first ride in 10yrs it near on killed me.

Find 2 hill sections 100m and 1000m, both around 8-10%. Do the 1000m seated @ 80% effort, rest for 30 seconds then ride down and do it again 5-6 times. Same with the 100m hill except 110% effort and out of the saddle. Should only take 30 mins or so to complete, make sure you warm up for 10-15 mins prior. Do that 2-3 times a week and you'll be fit quickly. I did this every other day when I was in lockdown as I had some suitable hills close by.

I've upgraded the fathom . Picked up this Merida one-twenty 800 from a friend of my son. Only been used for literally one ride , it's still got the "hair" on the tyres  ;D
The white drink bottle holder has to go !

Here for a good time, not a long time!
