There's a far better batsman than both of them, he's in the touring party, but apparently he can't play spin. Why was he selected for the tour? Short circuit Qld's run at the shield??...seems the only plausible reason at this stage.
And Rod Marsh was roasted for being a selector, -  well new mob are doing a fine job in his stead...lol

I was surprised that he was dropped, but then again I think he's out of form in India. I think Maxwell's experience and achievements there would have put him ahead. Either way, we agree about Marsh.

Mitch Marsh is rapidly approaching Scott Muller status as worst player ever (repeatedly) selected for Australia. Cant bat (for more than 50 balls), can't bowl (or isn't allowed to lol) and whether he can field or not is irrelevant since all players of the modern era must field or be banished.
Case closed if I was on the panel.
