Don't think this thread idea exists here yet, but if it does then disregard this idea and mods delete it...lol. Seen it running on another forum and it seems to go ok, so thought why not give it a go here.
Just post up the latest pic you have of your vehicle (ONE PIC ONLY PLEASE).....doesn't have to be anything fancy, but would be nice to see a pic from you / it going somewhere over the weekend on a trip etc. If it's to show a new mod, then a driveway pic is fine also....really don't matter where it is, just the latest pic you have is the idea.
So to get the ball rolling.... here's my vehicle on the beach just North of Double Island Point last Sunday

yep, everyone laughs until you're sitting around a campfire in Victoria late at night. We like big campfires, so front of body always warm, back not so. Late at night, everyone then says "what a great idea"! More than happy to be considered soft with a nice toasty warm back;D

Latest pic of your vehicle......
Well this is a bit different. Latest pic of my vehicle. Well last week went up to my visit my old man for his 85th birthday, first time for a long time to see him on his birthday. Anyhow he lives on the islands off Redland Bay and just before getting there the bearings collapsed on the water pump. Made a terrible noise but we managed to get to his place, and Monday I rang the Island mechanic and he is busy as but can see me Thursday. With no choice we sit back to enjoy the waterfront views waiting for the mechanic with parts fresh from the mainland to replace the water pump, timing belt, tension and seal. Here is the latest pic of my vehicle. Not looking pretty at all. The filings you can see are from the studs on the back of the fan grinding out the housing for the spindle and collapsed bearings of the water pump.

They sit just on the limit, or maybe 5mm out depending on wich way you look at it, but even then its mostly just the side biters on the tyre sidewall.

Secret Air base out from Marble Bar
Hi RallyDog, I believe that would be Corunna Downs, I visited it around 1986 when I was at Tom Price.
Incredible history there as with all the bases during WW2.
I used to skydive at wartime strip built by US Army in 42 on Hillman Farm near Darkan south of Perth. Our clubhouse was Nissan Hut.
Cheers.
Might as well rename this thread "Latest pic of your LC200".........ya pricks :-[
Hi Rob Macit is Corunna Downs rumour going around about a heap of US gear buried in the hills some where not to sure if it's a rumour or not.

if you mean the one behind my fourby...when we bought the house many many years ago, there wasn't any concrete driveways to be seen on the block. The old wheel tracks in the grass that were there, used to lead around to underneath the house / where the new driveway goes to now but at a 90 degree angle in direction of entry (wasn't a verandah on the house when we bought it though, was just an open back yard). There's a gate there in the fence i drive through into the back yard, can drive around the other side of the house where there's a carport area to park under....though have another driveway i use off the the other street for doing that, being we live on a corner blcok.

enjoy your weekend then mate.... if you'd shown up last weekend you could have listened to the band we had playing there Saturday night. We didn't have the whole band in this link playing though, just Kerry the lead singer and Billy (guy with the big ZZ Top like beard) were playing for us. They played mainly covers (and the odd original thrown in aswell) at the event we had, but the best part of the night was when we stopped them playing on stage around 11 p.m, then got them to join us drinking in our small group, and the guys played acoustic songs till nearly 1.00 a.m https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4CGKW9_zEE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4CGKW9_zEE)
Looks like same thing is on tonight.

more then likely, i know we have stiff competition from another 4wd club each year to book the weekend we do....the kitchen area and under cover area they let us use, makes it a good place to hold functions at.
Just been for a walk. 2 clubs here. Landcruiser club is 1. They got a big set up under the main roof. I'm happy hiding in creek.

I'd go the A9X if it was mint and genuine.. HT was my fav of the HK/HT/HG Monaros.
The last genuine LJ Torana XU-1 that sold around here [ a few years back ] that I knew of, fetched the owner a neat $126.000.
An old mate had a genuine A9X, signed by Brocky, then it got stolen and then accidently found by the president of the A9X owners club and recovered by the police from a Holden dealership in Sydney about 18 months later .. [ As far as we know its the only one ever to be recovered almost totaly intact ] bar for restamped engine numbers and the chassis numbers and I.D. plates being swapped ... The theives even had the few blemishes in the paint / bodywork professionaly redone ..

Noice!
I'm getting all excited for early in the new year. Best mates old man is about to drag out from the deepest darkest corner of his shed. A rust free, original paint, unchopped 34 Ford 5 window, that hasn't seen light since about 1969! He rodded it in about 68 with a Galaxie driveline (Y block) and HK drum front end. Apparently it wouldn't turn or stop for some reason...
Sitting on the hoist ready for the body is a nice Deuce Customs chassis with Rodtech powersteering front end, 4 link rear and a stockish 351W and AOD 4 speed. Body still needs the timber removed and steeled out and a ton of other stuff. He want's a full respray in black and we want to leave the 80 year old patina.

Hey John, looks like the Aussie swag needs a lift kit,)), you would not have much ball weight there would you?.
40 odd years ago my father taught me a trailer should always be down in the front because if the front was pointing up, it took the weight off the rear axle. I know it is a lot more technical these days with proper ball weights, but I guess the 200 weight would over-ride that.
cheers.
ps hitting Teewah again this weekend, it will be the last for a couple of months.

That would only be if the front went up when you unhitched it. I bet there is weight on the hitch it's just the hitch height pointing the trailer nose up.
Cheers,
Salty.

Just had a service and discovered the intercooler with a slight leak. Those with patrols will be familiar. Double checked though and warranty runs out 13 June while we are away so called and booked Nissan for an inspection on Tuesday. At least then it will be on their books before warranty runs out.

I know the 70 series had the narrow rear compared to the front, but is it really around 100mm diference? Thats massive

Slight thread detour, but what spacers were you using ?, was it the legality issue that prompted the wheel change, or was there an issue with the spacers ?
Just curious, as I'm considering all options ?
Cheers
Yeah the wheel difference is about 100mm. I have the steel spacers from Snake racing. Nothing wrong with spacers had them on for about 15000 Ks trouble free. It was the legal side that I took them off.

Thanks for the comment Gravity. I like the Nittos and if I was replacing the 20's I would have a good look. I'm running Hankook Dynapro's on a set of factory 18's at the moment (the 20's are in the shed) and I love them especially compared to the stock Kuhmos or the Cooper AT3's I had on my previous wk2. I would happily buy another set tomorrow!

Will letting the tyres down get you the clearance? That would just squeeze my Patrol in the garage when I used to go away for work.
Nah, it was still too tall.
Never mind, found a nice spot in the yard and set it up there.
Being outside, i'm gunna set up a fire pit for this Saturday night.
The timing of the purchase has been good, we'll spent 4 week-ends in a row sleeping in it.
Much nicer and cleaner than the Hilton Hotel in Esk we use to bunk in. (cheapest accom we could find)
I hope Typhoid Mary that runs it does miss us too much.

I'm sure those cars have the fuel consumption measured by saying GPM

Imbil state forest. There are some great little tracks. Even the one that took us 2.5 hours to climb 200m only to realise it was a dead end. Lol

Open access?
What was wrong with that particular track - wet / steep / rocky?

It's a normal towhitch, what you're looking at is a bracket the bike carrier slots into to stop it from spinning around.

Lol. Yes, up the Matheson Spur track (off Upper Dargo rd)
Tan into a bloke who said "No Worries, you will get up there with a trailer!"
4 Winch pulls up & melted a cable.to the control Box. 8 point turn on the side of the track to do what we should have in the 1st place, turn around!
Was a challenge but we got out with only minor damage & a slightly dented ego
First track the FJ has not made it up.
Did have a bit of an anchor though
