Well listening to the traffic reports daily, accidents on the monash, tunnel blocked by a truck, police incident, I've never heard a traffic report during day/evening that wasnt ****ed up... could add 10 mins or infinity hours.
Oh then theres 150 odd people on site and 40 parking spots... no fuks given by management who have one of the 40.
You spend 60 million building a new facility and give 0 thought to staff.

Up there for thinkin'......

"Pope Francis has died at the age of 88, the Vatican has announced."

Didn't he just give an Easter Address?
And didn't he just come out of hospital?

Reading this yesterday

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-04-29/wa-struggles-to-implement-pledge-to-track-repeat-dv-offenders/105223886

The main argument about not attaching tracking beacons to crims on parole is that they're in "an area beyond GPS reception, in a remote or regional area where it does not work"?

It would appear that the WA Premier has stuffed up ( :o ::)) & he actually meant to say that the do-bads are in an area where there's no 4G signal, so the trackers can't report back to base! ::)

But it made me wonder ???

Has anybody ever found a spot in Oz (apart from the various CBDs, deep canyons, tunnels, very dense jungle, or underwater!), where GPS won't work ???

I know that it's a thing in the US, where they block GPS around military bases, because I know 2 separate  people who have gotten lost that way & actually drove up to the main gates of said Bases! >:D

Mr Komandono told first responders, “The road suddenly became dark and there were no other cars. Then I realised there was a problem when the car started falling and crashed on the ground.

I've seen it happen in areas in Central Australia and a few times on the Canning Stock Route, where the gps will stop responding and not update the screen and then some time later (no specific time period) will just as suddenly start behaving normally again.

This was back before Covid, so I don't know if there was a small gap with no overlapping satellites, needless to say there was no mobile service from Wiluna to Halls Creek

The Queensland floodwaters have reached the Salt pan of Lake Eyre today, flowing down the Warburton Groove which continues across the centre of the lake. This is just the beginning, there is a lot more water to come. The Kalaweerina Creek was bone dry last week, floodwaters have split off the Warburton Creek and are now pushing down the Kalaweerina and will reach Lake Eyre overnight. An amazing sight, thanks to Phil and Maria at Arid Air for capturing this amazing moment.

The Trump tariff play ripple effect-

Yeah that and the big converted Yank utes too. Not something Labor would prefer to do copping watermelon flak but you know how it is  :-*
There's no Great Evil conspiracy against consumers within engineering, manufacturing and supply. Just the many tradeoffs incurred to satisfy diverse tastes, priorities and wallets. But first comes all the insatiable Gummint eggsperts, nanny-staters and usual suspects.
