It is with a heavy heart that I pass on the message that, on Tuesday the 8th of November, Alan aka Al of "alnjan" passed away. Al was a long term member of Myswag (he signed up on 20th January 2009) and was a fantastic contributor to the Forum.  He enjoyed conversation surrounding a range of topics with one favourite being photography.

Our thoughts are with his wife Jan who he always lovingly referred to as "The Bride".

He was only 58 years old.

Thursday last week I received a call from his mate Ken to inform me of this sad news, sat me on me arse.
The week before I was messenging Al about what days out he had planned to do in the coming weeks in the country behind Coffs Harbour.
He was a big contributor here, as well as in historical FB groups relating to the Coffs Harbour area. We would share inform about old newspaper clippings, old photos of the old railway lines, shipping trading documents, he was a wealth of information.
My Condolences to Jan & his family.
Rest easy mate.

I just saw this on the local Facebook page, condolences to Jan and Family.
Never met Al, but from what I read on here, and the odd PM, he came across as a really nice bloke.
