The joys of school holidays .................. at home ...   Kid got a hankering for Bush Doughnuts, well not quite ...Sooo break out the butane cooker and a non stick frypan,  one small  pancake premix ... Bread cut into fingers, forget the jam [ Kids not too fussed on it ]  ten minute prep, messy fingers and cook . Voila Hot cinnamon Churros well Sort of ....

I worked with a Pom years ago that told me
He had his sidecar rig strung up above his kitchen on pullies because he had no garage
He'd just lower it down to work on it and then hoist it up again
His Mrs didn't mind because she was his swinger (I didn't want to ask  )

Had a mate many years ago who was talking up how clever he was because he was rebuilding his sidecar in the kitchen. He lived alone so that part was all good.
Problem was when the whole thing was back up and running it wouldn't fit through the door.
Gave him heaps for a long time over that one.

This popped up on FB today and is on Channel Seven News tonight, the retelling of a story from 26 years ago, that's my brother with the young boy clinging to him after a river rescue that occurred in a fast flowing Sturt Creek.
All lucky to have survived.

Just seen that on the news Pottsy, good on him but what happened to the Lad that was rescued we thought it would have been good to have some input from him.

He has grown into a fine young bloke, he, his partner and child sauntered into Port Lincoln police station probably six years ago and met with John out of the blue only three months before John retired from the Police Force.
I knew the bloke who made and maintained the trash racks that they were on, so I got one from him and laminated a board with the press clippings put it under glass and turned the rack into a coffeee table which he still has in his lounge. John knew this was going to be on the news tonight but declined the offer of an interview, it brings back many emotions. We are all very proud of him.
