Yesterday evening,we had dinner at our local watering hole, we booked a fortnight ago, about 16 of us. Outside dinning, no mozzies(which surprised me with the amount of rain we have had latley), we were one of two groups.
A wonderful evening, no crowd, no loud noise, just laughter between good people.
Home by 10.30pm, snoring by 10.31pm :)

Just got back from a great trip to Innaminka.
Coming down the track from Cameron corner to Broken Hill on the NSW side. Me by myself opening the gates 2 mates a few minutes behind closing them.
Cruising along the section that follows the dog fence and all of a sudden over the next sandhill comes a police car.
All good just  move over to the left side of the track and a quick wave as I pass.
Look in the mirror and all of a sudden he is doing a u turn behind me. The thoughts that went through my head can't be put on here. I pull up and put down my window.
He pulls up next to me looks over and says "how do I get to Tibooburra?"
If I didn't have my seatbelt on I would have fallen out of the car.
Told him to stay on the track and held up my road atlas and said do you have one of these ? No he says just the GPS.
Showed him the map and sent him on his way.
It made my day and gave us a good laugh that night.

Friend of ours is a :police:, & has just been posted to Western Qld.

Till they get to know the area, they'll probably be doing the same! ;D

You know what.
All he had to do is say, Ok,
If that is the way it is, I'll bugger off, I don't need the cash or title, there's next year.
End of story.
A lot more people would think a lot more of him for doing that.

Children here were taking a sneaky swig of orange juice just before a test to get a break from school. Probably still are.

Just reading a thread on Whirlpool.

Now I know we've discussed a few times about setting up a portable dunny & shower on site while building a new house, but this person has gone wwwaaayyy above & beyond that! ::)

Intercourse that! I cant even imagine anything like that temp... 43ish is about as hot as I've been...

Temperatures at Onslow Airport in Western Australia's Pilbara region have hit a staggering 50.7C - the state's hottest day on record and the equal hottest ever in Australia.

That was recorded on January 2, 1960 at Oodnadatta Airport in South Australia.

The coolest Onslow got on Thursday was 30.2C at 6.32am while the sweltering maximum was reached at 2.26pm.

Other epic temperatures recorded in the region were 50.5C at Mardie at 1.58pm, matching its previous record on February 19, 1998, with the same reading at Roebourne Airport at 12.49pm.
