Giddday folks, looking for a reasonably priced swag for my 9yo, that can either be a dome style or used with no poles on a stretcher in a tent. Has anyone got one of the Dune Outback swags? Currently priced at $199. Realise its not the very best, just after something to last till hes a teen. Cheers.

nah not tried one, and that's what I was thinking, hence the 200 and not the 500. cheers, still interested if anyone knows this particular model though. From what I can tell, the bugger is that the top needs to open fully from side to side if you want to use it without the poles like in a tent or inside a mates house, as I have seen a cpl that open either side of a central canvas strip that straps to a spreader bar between the head and toe hoops.

Or see if you can borrow one from a mate. I've lent plenty of camping gear over the years.

Great Advice,
Swags aren't for everyone.
I hope he enjoys it, cause it is a great way of camping.
You don't use magic to disappear, all you need is a 4wd & a Swag ;)

Just to complete this thread, I actually ended up getting a Dune swag and it is going well so far, although he has only used half a dozen times. Main reason I went with this one was that it could have the top opened up completely so that it can still be used in a tent without poles
