Camper Trailer Advice

Hi there.
Just joined the forum and looking to buy a FF camper trailer.
Have just started looking at options and at this stage considering Modcon FF1, Aussie v2 Kakadu, Goldfields Grand Duke. Any advice, recommendations or experience greatly appreciated. Cheers Gavin

Most FF are heavy on the tow ball, this is just by design. Hence some care should be taken, ie would not tow with a small vehicle, just my thoughts. Purchase Aussie if the $$$$ allow. Either way enjoy the camper life style.

Thanks for the responses, really appreciate it. Tow vehicle will be large SUV and 4wd so weight not such an issue.
Use will range from weekends to 3-4 week trips. Not extreme 4wd tracks but moderate bush, gravel etc. Camping will often be linked to fishing trips, beach, river and alpine areas.
2 people mostly but I do expect other family members to borrow it from time to time .
Budget up to $25-30K

For accuracy and so the OP is under no illusions, the Elysium campers have not been built or sold for quite a number of years, and anything Mod Con sells these days is imported, not 'well built here in OZ'.

The quality is still pretty good. It cost less manufacturing in China to your standards and then assembling here in Australia, they constantly improve and upgrade the models. They offer local warranty and service.
Most importantly the elysium was $60-70k
The new ff1 is $25 k, so they are passing on the cost benefit to their customers.
Do they have issues, yes some small ones, that they look after under warranty. Does any other Australian manufacturer have issues, of course. But if you buy one of the other plethora of available Chinese campers, will you have issues, almost certainly. Will you get local backup and warranty, who knows and if you do? What spare parts will be available?
So far on my 4 year old ff1, I have had some minor paint bubble issues and 1  (of the 4) failed shockers. That was out of warranty and I purchased a replacement for $38. The polyblok coupling failed last trip, I believe that was sun damage rather than manufacturing issues. But in the interest of a complete picture, those are all of my Modcon issues in 4 plus years.
I have put probably 15-20 thousand klms on this camper on dirt trails, sandy beaches and the highways over last 4ish years.
