I manage to put a dent in my SS exhaust, luckily at the end.
Bending it is impossible, so are thinking of cutting the end section and add one of those SS end piece you buy from one of the auto shops.
So, what treatment do I add to the cut piece to limited the rust?
Yes, it is SS but even SS rust.

This is only a temporary fix since I will be replacing the exhaust within the next 6 months

All the cheaper stainless steel we used on construction sites, when cut, we always painted with galmet zinc paint. Never had any rust dramas

Do realise when the exhausts are made the raw cut ends aren't treated in any way?

Custom SS exhausts are the same.  Cut to suit and welded in place. That's all.

I have a Beaudesert sport exhaust, fitted two years ago.
There are signs of rust so it shouldn't be covered under their 5 year SS warranty but I am not holding my breath.
I were to Fraser two weeks ago and bend the tip of the exhaust on one of those deep ruts leaving Lake McKenzie.
I tried to bend it back
So, my two options are
1) go to an exhaust shop and they can bend the tip
2) cut the bend lip

The bend lip is somewhat restricting the air flow.
I want to fit replace the exhaust in June but want to do some research first Andre compare the various ones available.

Go to an exhaust shop, they should have a portable air operated expander that they can fit in the tube to flare it back out . Bit like this thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcz6CSVmxQU  .
