wouldn't surprise me.

the size of that canopy on the back of it, the amount of overhang of the canopy, the weight of the MDC trailer on the back and the way Simon drives it...

I'd still consider one though.

Yes but they make them out to be bullet proof as they are which is BS, Id rather them say they have beefed them up like they have with the 200s and 79s, Craig

I think this may have been their truck at Innamincka in July this year.

Jeepers Creepers

saw a guy the other day, one of those square 1,000 litre water tanks propped up right on the tail.
Assuming, it was easier to dump the water when he got home.

The duel cab it was on was looking a tad second hand.

1 tonne of weight, perched right on the edge..... what could go wrong?

I DON'T CARE HOW NICE THE HAND SOAP SMELLS.....

That sure looks bent to my eyes.  Ah, the mighty, invincible 79  ;D ;D ;D

That isn't the A4A 79. Interesting that it has a chassis extension and is bent.

I wasn't sure but people at Innamincka were saying it was theirs. I didn't see the boys there.

I would have thought the amount of time these guys are away from home, they would fly to and from remote destinations to save while staff do the boring long distance driving before and after filming.

agree.. learning how to pack/weight distro is critical with any dual cab.. The secret is to put nothing on them.

I had 3,2lt diesel Nissan D22 dual cab with alloy tray and it had a extra spring leaf in the back springs , I use to have one of them 1000lt tanks but only put 6 to 7oolts of water in it and it was right up the front that was enough to I tell you, At the end of the day, all they had to say all there 4wds are beefed up and no one would of gave a stuff, as the gear they carry and where they take it they would silly not to beef everything up right from the start,,  Craig

Different vehicle to the one in reply #5 if that is what you are referring to.

Pretty sure there was something on here a while back about them sending the vehicles on the back of a truck to where they are going to be filming.

I find a lot of this stuff a bit contrived.

Sensible travellers avoid trouble, not going looking for it so they can make a video.

I quite liked Ronny Dahl in his early days, mainly because he was local (from WA) and he went to places that I knew or would like to visit and his slightly amateurish enthusiasm  seemed genuine.

I watch him a lot less now ... not that that is a criticism. Good luck to those who can turn a hobby into a business.

Sometimes I get a laugh from these 4WD video's especially then they say they aren't sure of this track is even drivable, but sometimes you see the tyre tracks from the camera car. So they know it's drivable.

It's wouldn't be a cheap exercise to paying food/fuel/wages for 7 cars full of people for 3 months.
