Watched Thor Ragnarok last night on download.

Saw it at the movies when it was released, the same day that I broke three ribs. The perfect movie for *not* laughing... NOT.

I was well dosed on Codeine that evening.

I thought it held up just fine.

Only difference being that this time I could laugh without crying.

Great series, lots of twist and turns. If you like series and one pops up called Turn, Washington Spies, do yourself a favour and watch.

not "as such"... Just even more humour than the typical Marvel flick.

Plus... the Kiwi director, Taika Waititi,  did a lot of motion capture himself in the movie including supplying the voice for one of the secondary characters... Korg.

"I tried to start a revolution... but I didn't print enough pamphlets so hardly anyone turned up. Except for my mum and her boyfriend, who I hate.
As punishment, I was forced to be in here and become a gladiator.
Bit of a promotional disaster that one, but I'm actually organizing another revolution. I don't know if you'd be interested in something like that? Do you reckon you'd be interested?"

I'd argue that you wasted more hours of your life on the plane - the movie was just a filler to make the waste slightly less painfull ;D (I havent seen the movie so cant comment on how bad it really is)

Watched Dunkirk. Its well done, it doesnt glamourise perhaps the only justifiable war I know of. Low key cast that portrayed a truly desperate operation. Recommend if you like that sort of stuff.

Cheers Glen

Tried watching it the other night but to be honest it didn't do it for me. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. I did also watch Man on fire and really enjoyed it

Watched "Like Father" on Netflix today.  Enjoyed it Good family movie (bit of language, but nothing the kids cant explain to you!).  15+ About a father reuniting with his workaholic long lost daughter.
Having lots of friends on farcebook is the same as having lots of money in monopoly...means absolutely nothing!!

Cruiser 105Tvan

Currently watching Jake and Elwood on SBS.  (The Blues Bothers.)

A Standout movie of its time!!!
I get the impression some of the cast paid their own money to be in the film.
Probably not true, but entertaining all the same.

Watched a couple of movies on netflix on my days off, Extinction - wasnt too bad and it had a good plot twist that I didnt see coming. Also watched wonderwoman - I normally like the comic book movies but this one was just too much on the Shit side for my liking, dont waste your time with it

rockrat

Watched The Meg today. Fairly predictable but still an entertaining way to spend a couple of hours.

Operation Odessa.... AMAZING...
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7983794/

A true crime thriller about a Russian mobster, a Miami playboy and a Cuban spy who teamed up to sell a nuclear submarine to a Colombian drug cartel.
A gangster epic that hopscotches from Brooklyn to Miami and Cali to Moscow, the documentary tells the story of three friends who set out to hustle the Russian mob, the Cali cartel, and the DEA for the score of a lifetime.
The tale became an international media sensation.
But the truth about what really happened has remained an underworld myth - until now.

Watched Woodlawn on Netflix last night.  About high school gridiron in Birmingham Alabama in the early 70s when racial segration was still an issue, with very religion very much a focus. Really good acting and all around a good watch. I won't be taking up the invitation at the end though.

Troopy_03

Watched "The Brothers Grimsby" the other night. Hadn't even heard of it before, and recorded it thinking it was going to be a serious hard hitting, action packed spy movie. It didn't let me down either.

;D ;D ;D
4.2L TD Toyota Troopy, (Clarke's Country Camper Trailer, softfloor.) sold it and bought a Avan Ray small poptop caravan.
