New member from Brisbane

Hey everyone!

My husband and I are from Brisbane, and I recently joined the forum.

We enjoy camping, touring and the odd 4WD day trip. Our last big trip was Cape York in July last year, and we're planning a Simpson crossing mid year this year. The Kimberley is on the list in the future, too. We have a 2004 Patrol with a bunch of extras - the car is more hubby's territory than mine! We have an Oztent RV-3 for when we go away, a nice upgrade from swags under the awning years ago! We like the flexibility that the tent offers as far as not slowing us down or stopping us from seeing places we want to get to like what a camper trailer possibly would.

I'm also into photography - a hobbyist for sure, but with some nice gear and a slowly growing kit. Currently have a Canon 6D, 24-105mm kit lens (not the f4.0 L-series one, but its still a decent lens and has been great to get started with this camera. I used to have a Micro Four-Thirds Olympus so had to upgrade and replace everything!) and a little "nifty 50" lens. Looking at adding to that as I find the right lenses at the right prices! I'm hoping to add a DJI Phantom drone to the collection later this year... hopefully before the Simpson trip!

There are a few around here that are happy clickers. I just started again with a Nikon D750 and a couple of lenses. F4 24-120 and a f2.8 105 Micro
