Depends on how much money I want...

I've definitely got 3 days work this week, perhaps all 5 days... the next week it's anyone's guess - probably in a few days as I need to sort out a fair bit before Christmas.

Scratch that... I've just found it's looking like 7 days this week (only 3 days are fixed hours of 5.5hrs) and the others are a mix of hours, and then a couple of hours the next week are confirmed.

Other jobs are pretty quiet at the moment, got a bit to do Monday/Tuesday am for one, and the other is as and when I find time to an extent. I do need to email a 25,000 line spreadsheet of data to someone to run through STATA for a conference paper.

13 working Days left to go in 2016, Other than normal week ends the only day of will be Christmas day and they are trying their [ The Bosses that is ] hardest to have that  count as just another work day .

my misses ain't no teacher, she's a public servant that booked her holidays well in advance to finish her year early.....she was supposed to go back to work for half a day inbetween Xmas and new year, but her boss saw sense and let her take that day off also.

Hearing you rockinj, kids these days, unbelievable. Not like when we were kids at school. Polite, coureous, thoughtful, studious, always a dream to teach

Thank you. I must admit, term 4 has been pretty good this year. Teaching 5/6 rather than year 7-12 like usual. Great kids on tthe whole.

Busy as at the moment, working up to and including the 23rd and using the 24th as a back up in the event of a rain day before then.
Go back on the 3rd of Jan, but I do have at least one day to work during the holidays.

I haven't had a week off since the same time last year....... i'm a bit knackered.

I am guessing you are in Nsw? Prac subjects are great.
I am trained to  teach ag and english. This doesn't stop admin giving me a myriad of other subjects of course just like every other high school teacher.
:-) I am also a primary teacher. I am a strange combination ha ha.

10 days....it's torture

I work in kindergartens and finish at the end of this week. But, being casual .. no holiday or public holiday pay. Hubby is a sub contractor so he is the same... I'm hoping agency will have some work in childcare over Christmas. 

So, technically only 3 days for me but really really hoping for more. I'm probably the only person who wants more work at this time of year lol

My missus is a teacher....Year 3s............I never said that you teachers don't work damn hard (I've seen how much work my missus does - out of school hours too) however, she is now rubbing it in letting me and my boys know............

been a tradie for 25 years and no pay on holidays is just the way it is....I'll be having about 3 weeks off without an income, beats being at work still....5 days to go

Have a thought for all the shift workers and emergency services personnel who will be working and missing time with families. I am working 7 days straight from the 22 and on call over night on the 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th, hopefully after 18:00 on the 27th I can enjoy a Xmas drink if I get to knock off on time.
So keep safe so you do not end up with me!

Good and fair point, will do everything possible to keep away from emergency service persons.

Btw 1 sleep
