Just seen an add for another Tarzan movie.

With movie sequels being completed 20 years after originals (Top Gun, ID4), Fast franchise releasing number 8 next year.

Has Hollywood run out of ideas?

It costs so much to make a movie that the studios don't want to take a risk on anything, so they recycle the stories because they did well the last time.

Here's an idea - Tom Toaster the movie.

Yep this is it exactly. Hollywood is a business and big studios need to produce big films. These big films need to be profitable otherwise everyone involved from the actors to the studio look bad. Its all about risk and reward and going with stories that have a wide and appeal and will be easy to market.

There are plenty of original movies being produced in Hollywood they just don't have the big budget or marketing.

if you want to see some good movies look at Rotten Tomatoes for current releases to DVD or streaming that are scoring over 90 out of 100.

Agree, I particularly like the way the main actors hadn't aged at all

Never mind remakes of remakes being bad. There is a ton of first makes of some really really (and one more) really  bad movies out there. They need to all be classed as horror movies. Horrible to watch that is.

Hi,
I would watch that. Kenny was so brilliantly understated. Only a few parts where it degraded to a genre close to slapstick.
Cheers
