Now this band I stumbled on (looking for something else)......called  The HU and I'm hooked.........

The Hu is a Mongolian folk rock band formed in 2016. With traditional Mongolian instrumentation, including the Morin khuur, Tovshuur and Mongolian throat singing, the band calls their style of music "hunnu rock", hu inspired by the Hunnu, an ancient Turkic/Mongol empire, known as Xiongnu in western culture.
Origin: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (2018)
Record label: Eleven Seven Label Group
Albums: The Gereg, The Gereg (Deluxe Edition)
Genre: Heavy metal, Folk music, Folk

I wouldn't call it "heavy" metal........more "rock" orientated.

The band's name The HU, is the Mongolian root word for human being. They call their style "Hunnu Rock"... inspired by the Hunnu, an ancient Mongolian empire, known as The Huns in western culture. Some of the band's lyrics include old Mongolian war cries and poetry.

Different but, IMO, very good.

That's cool, now on my play list. Watched a series on Netflix called Marco Polo, about MP and Chingis Khan invadinding China, featured throat singers in plenty of episodes, something different.

There's so many fantastic Scandinavian metal bands I listen to, but these Norwegians have somehow been under my radar until very recently.

Trying to pigeonhole them into a genre is impossible. They are kind of progressive folk metal for want of a better description, but their songs envelop aspects from from black metal, melodeath, and even post rock.
This track below is all clean vocals.

I've been binge listening to the "Metal Up Your Podcast" guys for the last month or so and after their episode on Cunning Stunts I just had to revisit that one.

Well blow me down, going to the Australian Camp Oven Festival this weekend (demonstrating/pretending I know what I am doing).

Checked the program and Chad Morgan is on the main stage at 6pm Saturday. He is 88.

Wow. I thought he would be long gone by now. I used to listen to his records with my grandfather.

We still see Chad every year at Tamworth, plays for free every day.

Or what you wont listen to
I don't get it ???

The Rolling Stones' decision to drop the song Brown Sugar from the setlist of their US tour has been hailed as a victory, with previous performances of the hit labelled insensitive and a "prime example of entitlement".

The 1971 hit is widely considered to have one of the greatest guitar riffs in history, but its success is thought to have overshadowed the song's references to slavery, sex and drugs.

Just another bit of music, tv show, kids toy or foodstuff that never caused anyone any offence until those with a sense of entitlement or offence on someone else's behalf gets their hooks in. Lego also now has gone from traditional gender identifications with its figurines.
I wonder what business they would lose if they said go f..k yourself we ain't changing a thing.

I reckon Lego are going down that path to try and boost sales. A company like that doesn't make decisions to lose business. Same as old tato head... Just trying to appeal to a wider customer base than the traditional one..

I have a confession - I'm hooked on drugs - well more like the band 'The War On Drugs'...

A new release:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVh6XTwWhMY

And a previous piece I just can't stop listening to:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1n-auMNb8N0

True musicians - so you won't hear them on the radio as their songs are not 3min time driven songs.

Not unusual for their songs to take you on a journey with the lead guitar solos and riffs.

If you've not heard them - 'You're Welcome'
