Still trying to find some information on what it's like. Nothing on YouTube as yet.

Gday Mark,

I notice you guys are heading up end of the month, we will be heading up next week.
Hoping to get a bit of heads up first but I haven't heard anything yet either, might bump into you on our way back down.

This was posted on the 4x4 Earth forum a week ago by a guy from Port Douglas:

" I got back a couple of days ago the Frenchmans was impassable the water was chest deep.
OTT was very wet Palm Creek is not drivable on the Northern exit too many 4wds last year spinning tires have dug it out so deep there is no traction so thats a winch only untill another track out has been made.
The original track out of Palm is a huge mess we saw 37 inch tires have zero chance & not get remotely close to driving out of there either and saw them stuck several times along the track too.

Was alot of black soil around but easily driven around unless your stupid and we had one person that was.
Cockatoo is simple but knowone including the guys with 37's could drive up the Nth Bank i would expect some people to dig that out in the next Month or so making it drivable but ATM everyone has to winch out of Cockatoo also.

Nolans has a very simple & shallow tack on the far right hand side headed Nth the original was neck deep on me (6.1) was that atm is impossible untill water level drops.

Otherwise all good, very green, lots of water, lots of swimming etc etc--- i am thinking about setting the wagon up & going again it was so good."

It'll be fun. I hope the levels drops quickly for you...but then, where's the fun in that? >:D ;D

Cheers
Karen

I guess that is my bitch with big tires, what hope will someone else have with what I would call normal tires, when it is already dug it up with 37” when by the sound of it they should not have even tried in the first place.
Just the wank factor to say I got through.
