Bathurst
« on: May 18, 2014, 03:14:39 PM »
Hi My Swaggers  We are excited to be picking up our Topaz from Track Trailer in October and planning to camp on the hill for Bathurst 1000. Is anyone going?  Has anyone gone before?  Any hints?  Finally our 4wd dreams are falling into place- yipee, any special sights for the Melbourne to Bathurst trip? Your thoughts are appreciated.

If you haven't booked already you better ASAP, or you might not get a spot.
Cheers, John.

Mate, not too sure that it is a Family Friendly area to camp, If I had a choice, it would be in the paddock behind the pits.. bit easier to get around as well.

It gets pretty feral up there. Wouldn't take my young ones personally.

Definitely not to camp

Even for the day. Last time I was there, we were treated to an impromptu wet t shirt comp and plenty of f's and c's etc during the race. didn't bother me, as I didn't have the kids!!!!

But yes, definitely wouldn't make a night of it with kids..
