I have a couple to check out:

Nissan maxima 2011, 51k KMS, $24k
http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Nissan-Maxima-2011/AGC-AD-13818408/?Cr=0&sdmvc=1

Toyota Aurion 2012, 44k kms, $24k
http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Toyota-Aurion-2012/AGC-AD-15335046/?Cr=0&sdmvc=1

Both nice cars but my choice would be the Maxima. Good specs and price is not too bad also.

Mate of mine has one a few years older than that but similar shape mid 2000's and it will only run on Premium fuel.. something to consider.

No contest between Toyota & Nissan , the Toyota wins hands down.

Talking about car quality, not price or depreciation.

I know you won't be using this as your camper tug, but my experience towing a 7x4 with the Aurion was hilarious! One upon a time I had to progress up a slight incline at the back of our home (actually a public park that we backed onto) with the trailer on, one wheel on the concrete footpath and the other front wheel on the grass edge.

Now this was a narrow area and I had no sideways latitude, it had to be one wheel on the concrete the other on the grass. The grass was wet from dew. Well, the Aurion "failed to proceed" due to the determined traction control! No way would it get the three car lengths along the pathway to the road.

No choice, but to back down the track, put it back into my yard and wait for the dew to evaporate and traction could be had. Just saying  that the traction control (non switchable) is great to harness that eager 200kw, but a Shit in a situation like  this.

Incidentally there is a very convoluted and exasperating procedure to switch off the traction control that involves a series of handbrake and foot brake applications- Google it if you need it. Still a great car though!

Cheers! Andrew

She has changed her mind on the Aurion and is leaning towards luxury model Camry's. we will have another look around over the weekend.

Yes I have one and yes I love it. So much so that an Aurion will definitely be my next vehicle. Someone said they were thirsty earlier in the thread and that blew me away. I get 7.8 on our 500km trip to Sydney and usually average about 9.5 around town. Can't go wrong with a Toyota. Our last 3 cars have been Toyotas and we've never had an issue with any of them even with high kms on them

Well woman will change their minds; we bought this one. Camry Hybrid 29000 kms with electric sunroof, leather interior, SATVAV, trip computer, rear camera, dual zone climate control, bluetooth, keyless start and entry and pretty well electric everything.
Traded in our 2004 Toyota Avalon and $18K.  She is very happy. Thanks to all with advice

Anyone else got one of these?

We have several at work.  Done all they have been asked, and are a lot less confusing to start up and drive than the Nissan leaf's we also have.  Every time I drive one of the leafs I end up having to get the manual out if the glove box to get home.

Half the taxis down here seem to be either Prius or Camry hybrids.

From the inside you wouldn't know if you were in a Camry or Aurion.
