Where can I get the roof of my 2005 Jayco Finch repaired?
« on: April 25, 2014, 09:38:24 PM »
Hi, hoping someone can help me please? I purchased our first camper in January! Really not knowing what I was doing or looking for as a single mum and never purchasing anything like this previously. I have just taken my 2 kids away in it for a week over Easter and had a lot of Rain where I have found a pretty major roof leek :-( it is near the air vent/sunroof in the roof. Can anyone recommend where I could go to get it looked at in the Canberra or Sydney area? I have had a local guy look who said depending on how bad the roof is when it's pulled apart it may need replacing???? Any ideas I. The cost of this or recommendations tips etc?? Thanks in advance :-)

Don't really know but I'd call the local Jayco dealer.

Paul Tall Caravan Repairs at Londonderry (Sydney's North West) (02) 4777 5344  are IMO one of the best.
I had a leaky roof in the Eagle, and we ended up replacing (under insurance).  But I believe the cost for the roof was around $7,000 plus fitting.
Good luck.

May be a simple as the vent needing to be re sealed with sicaflex. Something you could have a crack at yourself perhaps.

My Eagle leaked around the vent.  When I took it off there was no sealant under one side.   No leak now.
Hope your ceiling is not water damaged.
