We survived the worst of it. It's now a cat 1 and heading down the coast. The rain has eased with the heavy falls ahead of the cyclone.

The advantage of being a professional camper, having a generator, 12v led lights and plenty of beer

Now time to sit back and chill  ;D

340 mm since 4am this morning. 170 mm in the last 4 hours. The river is 4.3 meters above the top of our bridge.

I spent the arvo with my neighbor , he has a 930 loader and I had my 039 chainsaw , we spent 3.5hr or so cutting and pushing trees off about 4km of our road .. I used 3 sharp chains and 4 tanks of fuel , and we only opened a track through the mess ,,

I've got wait a while barbs in places I can't reach ,lol

The Daintree river is in full flood , and is all most out to the turnoff .. If you know that road , Its up passed the big right hand bend but  not quite up to the actual cross roads,,

good too hear most people are undamaged , just a big clean up ..

Wow , thats good rain Muzza.. I love it like that , but you have to know that your safe ..
cheers

We have had 90mm since 9am this morning, and it looks like it has set in for the night.

The cyclone is predicted to travel over Hamilton Is and pick up intensity due to being over the ocean, then give Mackay a good soaking..
