There was a fire at the Nissan gearbox plant in Adelaide years ago - all the workers managed to get out as the fire raged through the building - and they mustered in the car park..........
But then the fire reached the explosive gasket chemicals and solvents used in the assembly - as the explosions began, gearbox parts began to shower the carpark - and the workers took refuge in a steel container.
Then the boss realised the auto fire alarm hadn't activated - no mobiles back then - so he asked one of the workers to run the gauntlet across the car park and set off the manual alarm at the factory door........
The worker listened to the constant shattering noise of the gearbox parts raining on the roof of the container - and said "I'm not going out there - are you crazy?
??"

"Why not?" said the boss.........
