Webber Service
« on: March 19, 2014, 07:30:57 AM »
I have been having a bit of trouble with food sticking to the grill in the babyq, :-[ so on Monday I rang Webber and asked what I was doing wrong and how can I get the gunk off.
Young lady asked me several questions including the model number, then asked for my name and address, ( thought I was going to get lucky ) and then told me they would send me out a new grill plate  ??? Guess what came in the mail yesterday, one brand spanking new grill plate from Webber ;D

That's what I call service :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup:

I concur.

I snapped part of the control knob when trying to change the hose to 3m bayonet.

Tip - remove the whole unit first than try disconnecting hose with unit still attached, the flexing will snap something.

Any way called up dealer where I purchased and wasn't much help.  They just said call/email weber.  I thought to myself here we go...

Emailed my problem, they replied promptly and asked for serial number and photos of damaged parts and my goodness a new regular hose and attachment arrived the next day!

Definitely a thumbs up!!   :cup:

They are fantastic at sending replacements - we had to get an igniter replaced after one went missing and they sent one free of charge as I was expecting to pay.

Similar experience. Needed a replacement and expected hours on hold and lots of run around and blame. But no a couple of questions, serial number etc and part arrived a day or 2 later.

Big thumbs up from me as well :cup:

Have to come out of the woodwork and add my 2c..

They've been this good since the beginning.. had an ancient kettle BBQ from them, been standing in the weather and the wooden handles on the lid and body were almost completely rotten.. then got a puppy who promptly went ahead and chewed the wheels and and ash-tray to bits ( his name wasn't Scrap for no reason ).. called them to enquire about cost of replacements, and all was replaced free of charge.. been repeating this to anyone sharing a cold one around the BBQ for the last 10 years..

Webber... they're  :cup:

Hi vator

Do you comment on the product review website - productreview.com.au

You can review your product and give a rating.  Really helps others out when purchasing.  I bought my webber based on the great reviews.
My alternative to cheap import trailers;

So did the new grill plate fix the problem?   I can't imagine why a new grille would help.  Aren't they just cast iron?

Weber have a lifetime warranty on all parts.
Years ago I owned a little gas portable weber (still have it) and i stuffed up the regulator on it and went in to buy a new one from them and they said all parts have a life time warranty.

Once you have a weber you won't go back to any other BBQ.
