Interesting, I have seen the Hanibal straight awning up and in a decent wind and its pretty solid.

Interesting.  I like the extra height at the central pivots.
But it doesn't look sturdy enough to survive any decent gusts.  Fine in light winds I guess.

I have a Hannibal Awning on the side of my D4 and love it, and actually saw this awning on the Opposite Loock stand at the Maitland 4WD show.  John the manager showed me how it works and I was extremely impressed.  He also stated that it was 4-5 kilos heavier than a foxwing.  The only downside was the price at (if I remember correctly) was about $1200.

What do you reckon the groung speed would have to be for the Landy to take off & fly  ???
Could it really go that fast anyway  ??? ???

re: price, it would be comparable with hannibal i would have assumed, for the coverage it offers my supa wing was similar price

SUPA-PEG makes a pretty impressive range of awnings at their premises in Yatala. Top quality at a competitive price. Good people ... honest and down to earth ... with service and backup.

They supply some of the top CT manufactures with bow assemblies ... poles n pegs etc.

I've procured  a few odds and ends from them in the past ... highly recommended indeed.

i have a supa-wing fitted to my rig........it required poles and ropes. its made out of canvass as well which i think makes it cooler under

i wanted 2 x hannibal but sadly out of my price range.

Great idea... 4 "A" frames on hinges 2 inside each other, fit canvas to suit span.  Sweet and simple. Love it.
