Another new member with a Jayco.....
« on: January 27, 2013, 06:03:09 PM »
Hello all
New member posting the obligatory greeting message. Have just decided enough is enough with the tent based camping after the New Years trip. 5 weeks going across the Simpson and the set up and pack up of the Black wolf tent with wife and 3 kids every night has made me realise that a camper trailer was the way to go. So bought an immaculate 1 owner Eagle OB that was already fitted with solar and all the goodies and took the kids to Wombeyan caves for the weekend. Well, the heavens opened up and it FLOGGED down, I think just to emphasize WHY we bought the Eagle. We were high and dry unlike some others in the camp ground.
Have some mods already in mind, as the brother owns a fabrication workshop, so will look forward to meet you guys out on the trails. ;D

2003GXL, Saw the weather forecast as well, but thought better to be out camping with the kids, seeing the caves than having them sit inside in front of the damn idiot box the whole weekend! ???
Having said that, there ARE plenty of things I need to do around the house!

Welcome aboard the intellectual elite section of Myswag. Ever so politely tolerate those lower down plebs who haven't quite got a handle on things yet, but unfortunately you'll have to be somewhat brusque with them if they try and talk you into replacing your winch cables with 6 B&S.

and always remember- Jayco  :cup:  Well.. after a few minor QA details and tinkerings.

But most important of all you'd better have a half decent tug like this to start with-

There's no Great Evil conspiracy against consumers within engineering, manufacturing and supply. Just the many tradeoffs incurred to satisfy diverse tastes, priorities and wallets. But first comes all the insatiable Gummint eggsperts, nanny-staters and usual suspects.

That's gold that jeep! My wife is vertically challenged, so would be funny just to watch her climb in. I will always endeavour to tolerate those beings who have yet to see the light, and embark on the true path to camping divinity.
