We have a cheapy from super cheap auto.. think it was around $35?

We have one on the Jayco and our friends that we travel also have one on their Jayco AND Landcruiser.

The good:
Cheap
look ok

The Bad:
They do tend to fade after a long time in the sun (ours have not but I have seen a few faded ones around)
The zips on the bottom are crap

I actually had mine come off the spare wheel (I swear someone snuck up and undid it.. cant have been me forgetting anything) and dragged it for a couple of kms.. has a few scuffs in it but otherwise all good!! We dont use the zip on the bottom, only the flap at the top (we just put a bin liner in there and lift it out when full)

hope that helps, obviously you can spend a bit on these bags but we opted to get the cheap ones and replace them down the track when they die..

Picked up this Bushranger for 80 bucks at the last 4by show...apart from being a dust collector ;D, it was great for damp, dirty ground sheets, rubbish, etc. :cup:

Mate gave me one that he had as a spare, he got it as a freebie when he subscribed to a certain 4wd mag.  Used the bag on a recent 4wd weekend.  Bag lasted one day before the straps broke off and the bag was swinging off the spare.  The idea of the bag worked well but just not a freebie.  Will be looking for a more reliable one.
Cheers

x2 for the Bushranger 'Wheeliebin'

Pros - very good construction

cons - It's a prick to get over the rear tyre.  In saying this, it's not a fault of the bin but the spare tyre has no gap between the tyre and the rear door. (prado 150 with tyre cover removed, 265x70's)

I still take it and find somewhere to put it on the CT.  Very handy to keep the stink of old rubbish out of the car.  Also keep larger camp visitors out (roos, cats, etc).

I now have the MSA one with the side pockets, it's great for all sorts of gear. It's lasted a couple of years so far without so much as a stray thread.

I had one of those magazine ones and a roof top bag, neither lasted one trip without falling apart........

I bought one off fleabay which was great and it was a private seller. I have to rummage through the camping gear to find the name for you. However anything larger than a 265x16, you might have troubles fitting.

I have one made by all-terain campers for the NSW 4wd Acc which fits a 285 tyre made from the same stuff as camper trailer dust cover, great for wet canvas, rubbish, or even kids toys for when you pull up for lunch,eg frisbee, grip ball, those throwing things (vortex)

I use that one ^^^^^^^

Have had it for awhile and can't fault it, good construction and good price and you can just give it a hose out to clean it

I also have a Supercheap one.  The clip was cracked from new.  I thought about taking it back but was in a hurry to get away on the trip I bought it for, so I taped it up and it seems to be ok.  Certainly was a dust magnet in the Wonangatta. :-\

mine comes from that cetain mag store

other than it never sits on the tyre correctly and is always sagging down and getting in the way of hook up etc ( this may be to me fitting it incorrectly??), i love it, it acts as my campsite rubbish bin and when it gives up the ghost, i'll spend some $$ and get a better quality one

We have the one from Super Cheap.  Fits over the spare on the tailgate of the CT.  The clip on the first one I bought would do up put popped open when you put a bit of tension on the strap.  An obvious design fault with the clip.  Took it back and replaced it.  The replacement's clip was a totally different design.   Have used it twice without any dramas.

Supercheap one for us, cost $35.00 and works well, junk the adjustable strap and use occy straps. :cup:

We had an MSA bag, straps broke and dumped 4 sets of muddy blundstones over 100k's of the Earnest Giles Rd >:(. Lucky my mate was following behind picking them up. :cup:
