New bike day for me too.  Not super fancy carbon fibre unobtanium but should do the job as a jack of all trades.

Nice one, which Giant is it?

It's the Toughroad SLR 1 GX.  Wanted/needed something that I could still ride on paths, gravel, tracks with my son on his (my old) 29er GT MTB but can also go for a ride with other friends on their road bikes.  Granted, it won't be as quick on the road as them but the last ride I did with them on the MTB I was only about 3-4km/h slower over 45-50km.  Would have liked to have a dedicated road bike but no room for extra toys and we still would have needed to upgrade my sons bike.

Nice! Although you do need to learn how to take bike pics, valve stems up, drive side crank at 3 o'clock, bars straight :cup:

It's not the bike you ride, it's the rides your bike takes you on...

Noted.  Promise I''ll do better next time.......

Picked up this on verge pickup.  Fluid Quantum. Was missing front wheel but had a similar one in shed. Doesnt look like it was ever ridden.

How's the weather the past 2 stages of the tour....race cancelled mid race 2 nights ago due to that landslide, then last night they skip the start of the race for more of the same reasons. Was looking forward to watch a longer race then last night put on, but atleast I got to go to bed just after 12.30 a.m and get a decent nights sleep...lol.

Extremes in the two days with the climate.  :o Nibali rode very well and deserved that win but if it had of been another 3-400mtrs, I doubt that he could have survived.  ;)

Cutting out the final climb the day before might have been necessary but man it was starting to look very interesting. I'd guess the young Columbian would have continued in the same vein and really skip away with the Jersey. Watching the others drop off him one by one was some impressive climbing.

Here's a better photo. Got the bars and crank right. Forgot about the valves as I was enjoying the sunshine too much. 30km ride up to Lysterfield and back with my son.  Starting to really like this bike.

Yes it was a great day for a ride.

Another tip, always take pics of the drive side... :)

They Giant is a nice looking bike for sure...

I'm keen to see the new Trek Domane SL6 when it lands in stores - I thought I'd snagged one on Facebook the other week, but he sold it to someone else before I got there to look at it, despite being the first to express an interest.

Interesting changes in the new Domane - they are saying if you run a sweet of gravel wheels on it, that it'll happily perform gravel duties, vs road with the wheels they ship on it....

But how good was that final sprint by Caleb Ewan this morning!
