Hi all!

I've been lurking here for a bit and thought it was about time I introduced myself.

I live on a small (by country standards) block in Murrumbateman, NSW, and have put down a deposit on a Cub Spacevan as an upgrade from tent camping. Basically I got sick of packing and unpacking so much gear and like the idea of a bit of luxury.

Like many noobs here, I'm finding the wait interminably difficult and already I've been researching and dreaming about all the mods I can do. I've also been driving poor Ross at Cub nuts with constant questions and changes. I have to say that he's taken it all in his stride and tells us we should have the spacevan by the end of this month. Why is it that time passes slower when you want it to happen quickly but passes quickly when you want it to go slower? ???

For those that are interested, the horse we have  to go in front of the soon-to-be-delivered "cart" is an Isuzu D-Max. We've had it for just over a year and absolutely love it.

So far I've found this forum to be one of the friendliest and most helpful around. I'm not sure how active I'll be but I'm looking forward to helping anyone I can.

Hooroo for now,

Tony

It's the only place I've lived where I've had to stop and have a rest half way through writing my address!  :D

Gee this waiting bit had knobs on it. My wife looked at me the other day and (with one of those looks that made me unsure if I was in trouble or not) told me that I am more excited about the camper trailer than I was when we got married.

She's right ya know   >:D

Congrats on the CUB.

I used to own a CUB as well and also drove Ross mad with questions etc.

Make sure you get their set up video as there are some good hints in it and you need to make sure you do things in the right order when setting up and packing up. I managed to stuff it up a number of times :).

They will give you a good run down when you pick it up.

There are a heap of informative threads on here from other CUB owners as well as others to borrow ideas from.  ;)
You will want to modify,  It's a horrible disease.  Let the mods begin.  >:D

Yes, I can see mods are the go and spending time going through MySwag I already have too many ideas  >:D

I've already gone through all the CUB threads I can find and I think we've made a good decision.

Now all I need is delivery...

We're through Murrumbateman 1/2 doz or so times a year on the way to the Yass truck stop, pick/drop off the grandkids from there - they come from Young. Lovely bit of country :)
Every time we go through, the Minister speaks of trying some of the local plonk, but not being a wine drinker, I keep forgetting to mention it  ;D

Welcome aboard mate :)
