Our cricket winning days are over.  There are just not enough kids playing anymore. And the current crew are more interested in getting tatts than actually training.

Whilst I agree our winning days are over, I don't agree that kids are not playing anymore because they certainly are.  Also when you dominate at the top for so long, a period of approximately 15 years and you keep that ageing team together once they move on you have massive gaps in experience at test level.  Our previous winning ways has really resulted in us losing a whole generation of cricketers and it will take another generation for the team to rebuild.

It was not that long ago the English cricket team was in a similar boat of course an influx of South African cricketers have not done this current team any harm.

To answer the original question however, "yes we do suck..."

Yea Speewa.. And this was all in fun. But - We are loosing the cricket in the street type of thing that I would do after school etc. There is no one down at the nets in Broome at the Moment, like my 10 year old.. Rather play play station. We grew up with a yard that let us stage the entire game. On the fence on the full - OUT. Hit the veggies - OUT. nick behind - OUT.

Love my cricket, but not so much these days. If the Indian tour is anything to go by our national team is in for a world of pain. We are starting to move towards the England model for cricket now, our "all rounder" can't bat or bowl like the poms used to  . And appointing a washed up keeper as VC, may as well have got Healy out of retirement (then we wouldn't have to listen to him commentate). Should just pick 10 bowlers for the first test as they seem to be the only ones making runs!

All I ask for is a decent crack against South Africa "A" in England and the return leg on home soil! And solid performances from P Sids and J Pat - coz they are Victorian

I think you are missing some very important points, as explained by sports commentators.  While the English team were here playing games against Aust A and others, our team were still overseas.  In other words the English have got used to our conditions, the Australian team have not.  Does not make sense and it is not the English fault.  So maybe things will improve for the Aussies as the series goes on.  I hope!!!!     Also, there are still a number of top players unavailable due to injury.     Kevin

Looks like the bowlers have to do the batting as well maybe they should get rid of all the batters and field a side of allrounders and wicket keepers

Bowlers seem to make more runs anyway. Rogers because it would be disrespectful to the opposition to have no "batsmen". Finch for the entertainment, Paine to give him a go but would be happy to have Wade back. Make Agar captain. Whats the worst that could happen, we loose a few tests?
