Hi all,

Been reading this forum for a while, both before and after the purchase of our new camper.  Thought it about time to say hello.

We have an off road hard floored liberty camper and went with the hard floor for ease of setup as i have arthritis and did not want to be manhandling too many things.  It seems easy to set up and we hope to use it very soon.  It's been set up in the yard whilst i weather the canvas as i don't think that had been done yet.  It was 6 months old when we purchased, and only used once.  Just a generic pic for now, will add a proper one as soon as we take it somewhere.

Need to add a stone guard to it and eventually a 12 volt lighting/power system.

Our tow vehicle is a 2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara Prestige, 3.2l V6 which has been lifted 2", full bash guards added and has a Waeco fridge in the back.

There is a great amount of knowledge on this forum which has really helped me.

Thanks for the knowledge base,

Cheers and Happy New Year

Welcome to myswag, good to see another South Aussie and another GV driver.
Where did you get your 2' lift done and what brand is it.

We love the Grand Vitara.  I use it everyday to get to work and it is good for that, with nice luxuries, though fuel economy not fantastic 13l/100kms average around the city and down to 10l/100kms on the open road, not towing.  Am sure we would have been disappointed with the 2.4l 4 cylinder model.

Doug, it is the Outdoor Auto full lift kit ( 4 springs, front struts and rear shocks) fitted with much help by Tyrepower on Sir Donald Bradman Drive.  The guys there (Troy, I think) were absolutely fantastic in helping source and then fitting the kit.  There are not many true 2" lift kits around.  They supplied and fitted the bash plates too, again from Outdoor Auto

Cheers

Wow that fuel economy is worse than my Prado. What is the diesel like?

Not sure, would have got the diesel but it does not come in an auto, a must for me.
